SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Sharon Owens, candidate for Mayor of Syracuse, Syracuse University alum and Orange Hall of Famer, proudly announced today her acceptance of endorsements from three student organizations: College Democrats at Syracuse University, College Democrats of New York (CDNY)  and the College Democrats of America (CDA). The endorsements highlight Owens’ commitment to engaging young voters and advancing policies that address the needs of Syracuse’s diverse communities.

Owens said, “I am honored to have the support of the SU Democrats, CDNY and CDA. The energy, passion and dedication of young leaders play a critical role in shaping the future of our city. Their voices matter, and I am committed to ensuring they are heard in City Hall.”

As deputy mayor, she has proven to be a capable fighter for the needs of Syracuse Residents and students. We are honored to have the ability to endorse her historic candidacy and look forward to working to elect her as the next mayor of Syracuse.”
